Education and Technology Committee
The purpose of this committee is to address issues concerning technology
assisted education, e.g., IPTV, CVN and
web-based, including the implementation of
courses and/or degrees at distant sites. The committee will report to the Vice
Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Research concerning relevant issues
pertaining to distance education.
Membership consists of the Director of the Center for Learning Technology (CLT);
four tenured/tenure track faculty members appointed to staggered three-year
terms by the Faculty Senate and one department chair, all having web and/or
technology assisted teaching experience to a degree center; two undergraduate
students appointed annually by the SGA and, one graduate student appointed
annually by the GSC who have experience with distance education. The Dean of
Regional Programs will serve as an ex-officio, nonvoting member. The committee
elects a chair who is a tenured faculty member
at the beginning of each academic year.
